Truck scales, commonly known as weighbridges, have two types: analog and digital, and are the main weighing equipment for bulk cargo measurement.
Before the 80s of the twentieth century, common truck scales were generally mechanical truck scales that were purely mechanically constructed using the lever principle, also known as mechanical weighbridges. In the mid-80s of the twentieth century, with the maturity of high-precision load cell technology, mechanical weighbridges were gradually replaced by electronic truck scales with high precision, good stability and easy operation.

一、The structural composition of electronic truck scales
The electronic truck scale is mainly composed of the scale body, weighing display instrument (hereinafter referred to as the instrument), the load cell (hereinafter referred to as the sensor), connectors, limiting devices and junction boxes and other components, and can also be equipped with external equipment such as printers, large display screens, computers and weighing management software and stabilized power supplies. The weighbridge is connected to the computer and prints the weighing list, which is a new management method at present; The weighing management system is composed of computers, printers, instruments and weighbridge software; The vehicle is weighed twice, and the gross weight is subtracted from the tare weight to obtain the net weight printed pound list;
1.Scale body: The scale body is the basic part of an electronic car scale, used to carry cars and goods. The scale body is usually made of sturdy materials such as steel or concrete, which have high strength and rigidity.
2.Sensors: Sensors are a critical component of electronic car scales, used to convert weight signals on the scale body into electrical signals. Common types of sensors include resistance strain sensors, piezoelectric sensors, and electromagnetic sensors. Sensors are usually installed on the load-bearing components of the scale body, such as the scale pan, scale hook, etc.
3.Junction box: The junction box is used to connect cables between sensors, controllers, displays, and other parts, playing a role in centralizing, transferring, and protecting cables. The junction box usually contains wiring terminals, fuses, relays, and other components inside.
4.Controller: The controller is the core part of the electronic truck scale, responsible for processing the electrical signals output by sensors, realizing functions such as amplification, filtering, analog-to-digital conversion of weight signals, and controlling the display to display weight data. Common types of controllers include analog controllers, digital controllers, and microprocessor controllers.
5. Display: The display is used to display real-time weight data of electronic truck scales and provide auxiliary functions such as operation panels and alarm devices. Common types of displays include digital displays, LCD displays, and touch screen displays
6. Limit bolt: In order to ensure that the car scale is always in the best condition during use, in addition to using highly reliable weighing sensors, the limit device can limit the shaking of the scale platform, reduce the sensor's bias load, and become an important component in improving weighing accuracy.
二、 Working principle
A heavy object or truck is placed on a carrier platform, and under the action of gravity, the weight is transmitted to the weighing sensor through the carrier, causing deformation of the elastic body of the weighing sensor. The strain gauge bridge attached to the elastic body loses balance and outputs an electrical signal proportional to the weight value, which is amplified by a linear amplifier. After A/D conversion to digital signal, the weight signal is processed by the instrument's microprocessor (CPU) and directly displayed as weight data. After configuring the printer, the weighing data can be printed and recorded. If the computer is configured, the measurement data can be input into the computer management system for comprehensive management.
